For maximum protection of your goods, when the courier makes the delivery always check that:
- the package is intact, undamaged, and otherwise conforms to standard specifications;
- in case of delivery on a pallet, that the film is intact, adherent and has no abnormal openings;
- the number of packages indicated on the invoice or the DDT, sent by email, corresponds to the number of packages actually delivered.
You have the right to report any discrepancies to the carrier by expressing a specific reservation, meaning you accept the delivery but sign the courier’s document writing “Accepted with reservation,” specifying the reasons in detail. This will ensure maximum protection against any damages not immediately detectable.
Therefore, if the courier does not allow acceptance with reservation, it is advisable to assert this right, or otherwise, do not accept the goods.
